SONY DSCAccording to Cancer Australia, only 43 out of 100 women with ovarian cancer in Australia survive after 5 years from when they were diagnosed.

They have also found that 2 out of every 3 women in Australia who are diagnosed are diagnosed at an advanced stage of ovarian cancer.

In response to such statistics for Australian women, the CEO of Cancer Australia, Professor Helen Zorbas has announced that they have released a new interactive quiz entitled “Ovarian Cancer – What Do You Know“. The aim of the quiz is to help Australian women learn important nformation about the causes, risks, symptoms and myths of ovarian cancer.

In Australia, more than 25 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer every week. While the rate of survival has improved somewhat in recent years, the problem still remains that the prognosis for Australian women diagnosed remains unsatisfactory.
