PeoplePledge

A note of thanks

Helping families with medical costs.

PeoplePledge was Australia's first medical crowdfunding platform. From 2013 to 2017 it helped families in Australia and Latin America facing illness and disability share their stories and find support when it mattered most.

More than a fundraising platform

Behind every fundraiser was a person, a family and a community that chose to show up. We are grateful to have played a small part in those stories, and to everyone who donated, shared a campaign or cheered a family on.

Pride of Australia Medal Award-Winning Social Impact

In 2013 Matthew and Phuong received the Pride of Australia Medal for their work on PeoplePledge, and Anthill named them in its Top 30 Under 30 Entrepreneurs in 2014 and 2015. In 2014 Anthill also named PeoplePledge one of Australia's SMART 100 innovations. The credit belongs to the families who shared their stories and the people who gave.

Thank you for being part of it.

To every family who trusted us with their story, every donor who gave what they could, and every person who helped spread the word: thank you. Your generosity made a real difference.

PeoplePledge no longer accepts campaigns or donations.
This page remains as a record of what we achieved together.

Need help with medical costs?

These Australian services may help. A hospital social worker is a good first person to ask.

General information only, not financial advice.

What's next for the founders?

From helping families ask for help to making sure generosity lasts: Matthew and Phuong now build Legaseek, which helps institutions honour what donors asked for, decades on.
