Too much sitting can increase your chances of chronic health problems, such as cancer, heart disease and diabetes. That’s what the new study says according to researchers from Australian and Kansas State University.
Those who sit for hours a day should consider and rethink the time that they spend sitting each day. This will certainly have implications for those where sitting down is a core part of their work, such as truck drivers, office workers and other jobs where hours of sitting is involved.
As part of the study, over 60,000 Australian men from New South Wales were interviewed and tested. These Australian men ranged in age from 45 years old to 65 years old. Each of them were asked how many hours per day they sat down as well as whether or not they had any chronic diseases, such as cancer, diabetes, heart disease and others.
