According to the recent news report, the number of men diagnosed with breast cancer in Australia has been small. However this number has been growing increasing from 62 in 1982 to 103 in 2007. Due to the small number of diagnosed cases, community awareness of breast cancer is generally associated with women. However, in Julia Morris husband’s case, men can also get breast cancer.

Morris hopes in sharing her story and her husband’s diagnosis will enable greater awareness of the importance of prevention and diagnosis of breast cancer even for men. Currently Dan, Morris’ husband is doing well and receiving the treatment he needs to make a full recovery from his battle with breast cancer.
