Support for Simon’s Progress

Simon Hudson is a friend and colleague. In late September, he was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour, which was immediately surgically removed. He is now recovering from the surgery, which is quite a task as the tumour was tennis-ball sized and his brain is needing to readjust. This week Simon and his wife, Memento, have had to make some tough decisions about his ongoing treatment. The cancer is aggressive and they had to choose between him having radiation therapy and chemotherapy for a better long term prognosis, or no treatment at all. They chosen treatment, but the drugs that would complement the therapies to assist with quality of life during that treatment are non-pbs drugs and are very expensive. Financial worries are the last thing they need right now. There are many friends and family of the couple that would like to help out in some way, and I think that we would all appreciate the opportunity to ease their financial burden.
