Everyday Australians employed as carers and health professionals have been doing amazing work supporting the needs of stroke patients for decades.

The 2013 Stroke Champion awards honors the work of Australian heroes who have given their time and knowledge to help make the lives of stroke patients better everyday. The Stroke Champion awards officially supported by the National Stroke Foundation and the Stroke Society of Australasia, occur every year. It is a way for Australians to acknowledge the work of local heroes and to create greater awareness of the work of carers and health professionals.

Nominations are now open for the 2013 Stroke Champion awards. Stroke Australia are looking for individuals who have created positive impact on stroke patients nationally.
