National Pain Week focuses awareness and education about chronic pain which over 3 million Australians experience to date. Not all experiences are the same. It is particularly difficult to understand chronic pain because not all pain is visible, making chronic pain sometimes subjective only to the person experiencing chronic pain.
This week we wanted to highlight that not all pain can be seen skin deep, in fact a lot of chronic illnesses and diseases are not visible. It is important to recognise how someone is feeling and seek medical advice for further support and assistance.
